Inventia se refera la un sorb pentru aspiratii, care este dotat cu un filtru spatial din fanoane naturale sau artificiale, late, cilindrice sau filiforme, netratate sau tratate, ori protejate aglicid, prin intermediul filtrului aratat realizîndu-se pe lînga apararea instalatiilor si utilajelor hidraulice si apararea instalatiilor ihtiofaunei (pesti, alevini, puiet) împotriva vatamarii ori distrugerii la admisia în instalatiile sau utilajele hidraulice precum si prefiltrarea selectiva a materiei în suspensie din mediul acvatic.
