Abstract
The invention relates to a process of bending layered structures and to a bent layered product. According to the invention, the process consists, in a first step, in laying horizontally a laminated panel having two outer layers (1 and 2) as sheets made of a malleable material and an inner homogeneous or inhomogeneous filling layer (3), which is integral by adhesion with the outer layers (1 and 2), on a rigid fixed or movable support, after which a distributed load (F) is applied on the upper face of the first layer/upper layer (1), along the entire panel length or width, with a constant or variable pitch (p), causing the local descent of the first layer (1), on a depth (h), in the form of depressions, making it bend, which causes the compression of the adhesion part of the filling layer (3) with the first layer (1), thus resulting in the bending of the layer (3) which, in its turn, due to the adhesion with the layer (2) bends it too, a desired radius (R) of the bent layered product being determined by the depth of a drawing (h) performed by the distributed load (F), as well as by the size of a pitch (p), the load (F) being taken over by a tension (T) in the filling layer (3), the tension (T) being applied to the first layer (1) and being transmitted through the material of the third layer (3) to the second layer (2), causing a moment (M) to occur which produces the bending of the second layer (2) together with changes in the density distribution in the third layer (3) and, by the adhesion forces between the layers (2 and 3), leading to the bending of the layer (2), as well. According to the invention, the product has two outer layers (1 and 2) as malleable sheets and an inner layer (3), forces being applied to the panel, which determine a desired radius (R) of curvature of the bent layered product representing the final product.
