Abstract
The invention relates to a vapour generator, namely an industrial ethyl alcohol vapour generator, but not exclusively, and to a method for producing vapour by means of said generator. The claimed generator comprises a vessel (1) which contains liquid alcohol (4) up to a level (5) detected with a level indicator (28), the vessel (1) being provided with some means (24, 29 and 30) for supplying the liquid alcohol (4) and with some means (13 and 14) for delivering the vapour (4) to a consumer or a collection vessel, at the lower part of the vessel (1) there being a vessel (2) with double-distilled water (8), which contains inside an electric heater (3) for heating the volume of double-distilled water (8), the formed water vapour being accumulated in a space (10) at the upper part of the vessel (2), condensing on the walls thereof while releasing the heat to the liquid alcohol (4) in the vessel (1). The claimed method starts with filling the vessel (1) with alcohol, by means of a pipe (29) and a pump (24), up to a level (5) visualized with the lever indicator (28), double-distilled water is introduced into the vessel (2) up to a level (6), by means of a pipe (18) with the valve (17) open until the water starts running through the pipe (20) with the valve (19) open, the valve (19) is then closed, while maintaining the valve (17) open, the electrical heater (3) is switched on for heating the water in the vessel (2) up to the vaporization temperature, the front of saturated vapour removing the air from the space (10), after which the valve (17) is closed, the temperature and pressure constantly increasing up to the temperature pre-set in the regulator (15), the heat is transferred to the alcohol by a continuous cycle of vaporization - condensation of the double-distilled water (8) inside the vessel (2), the double-distilled water (8) takes over the heat from the electrical heater (3) and the thus-formed vapour will condensate on the walls, releasing the heat to the alcohol (4).
