Abstract

The invention relates to an equipment for fruit sorting and calibration, mainly intended for sorting apples, as well as other fruits and vegetables of approximately round shape, which can be used, in particular, in small or medium-sized farms. According to the invention, the equipment consists of a welded frame (1) on which there are some supports (2) provided with some bearing boxes with rocking ball bearings on which some profiled sorting rolls (3) rest, the rolls being fixed at one end and adjustable at the other end by means of a mechanism (M) for simultaneous transverse displacement thereof, consisting of a support (4) welded onto the frame (1) and a central shaft (5) articulated to the support (4), on the shaft (5) there being, rigidly mounted, a plate (6) provided with two eccentrics (7), a lever (8) for actuating the mechanism (M), which is mounted at the square cross-section end of the central shaft (5), two levers (9) articulated at one end to the eccentrics (7) on the plate (6) and, at the other end, to some bolts as components of some front supports (10) sustaining the rolls (3), a circular sector (11) with holes being welded onto the frame (1) as to allow the actuation lever (8) indexing in one of the positions of fastening on this sector (11), corresponding to the angular opening of the rolls (3) between the minimum and the maximum limit, on the shaft (5) there also being a compression spring mounted in the square cross-section zone of the shaft (5), meant to maintain the actuation lever (8) in the desired position.
