Abstract

The invention relates to a knife meant to be used in ophthalmic surgery. According to the invention, the knife consists of an incision blade (1) assembled by wedging inside a stainless metal tube (2) of adequate size mounted in a handle (3), the blade (1) having the shape of a feather whose apex angle is suitably calculated so that the axial force employed to press the blade (2) into the metal tube (2) generates, by decomposition thereof on the inclined plane, high value radial forces leading to elastic-plastic deformation and friction forces with a view to achieving the assembling purposes without using additional assembling elements.

Description

1).The present invention relates to the method of obtaining a choroidotomy knife by inserting an incision blade (1) using the effect of wrapping in a stainless steel tube (2) of corresponding size, which is mounted in a handle (3) for viewing. obtaining an instrument for ophthalmological microsurgery intended for intraocular surgery (fig. 1).

The choroidotomy knife is an instrument intended for ophthalmological operations, with the help of which it can penetrate inside the eyeball, allowing maneuvers to cut its component membranes mainly for choroid sectioning.

The surgical instruments with which the sectioning of the membranes can be performed are the intraocular scissors that have several component elements with complicated geometric shapes that are difficult to obtain technologically and implicitly with higher costs.

The intraocular shears have the disadvantage that the sectioning length when handling is small and also having many component parts are difficult to maintain and clean.

The technical problem that the present invention intends to solve is to obtain a medical instrument, namely a choroidotomy knife, which will have small dimensions for fitting into the gauge corresponding to the current surgical techniques, which allows to obtain it. 2 0 1 0 - 0 0 9 6 2 - 1 2 -ίο- 2010 iy of a large length sectioning of the component membrane of the eyeball, namely the choroid.

The present invention solves the technical problems of obtaining a choroidotomy knife by assembling an incision blade (1) into a correspondingly sized stainless steel tube (2) which is mounted in a handle (3) according to FIG. 1. The ioncision blade assembly (l) in the stainless steel tube (2) is made by means of a panel, the incision blade (1) having a wedge-shaped shape with a correspondingly calculated value, so that the axial force with which it is pressed the incision blade (1) in the stainless steel tube (2) generates by its decomposition on an inclined plane of high value radial forces that lead to the production of elasto-plastic deformations and frictional forces in order to assemble the two components without any other elements of assembly. .

Claims (1)

The choroidotomy knife, according to the invention, is obtained by the paired cutting of an incision blade (1) in a stainless metal tube (2) as a result of the inclined plane decomposition of the axial pressing force into radial forces with the effect of obtaining assembly of the two components without other assembly elements.
