Abstract
The invention relates to a medical jacket meant for treating certain muscle and bone diseases of the human body by physiotherapy, namely by heating and sweating. According to the invention, the jacket is provided with an exterior thermally and electrically insulating layer (1), whereon an electrical resistor (2) is mounted, the ends thereof being mounted in a socket (3) attached to the outer part of the layer (1), an intermediate layer (4) made of an impervious material, attached by fusion onto the exterior layer (1) and provided with some parallel and equally spaced hook and loop tapes (5) to which an interior heat-absorbing layer (7) is attached by means of some parallel and equally spaced touch-close fasteners (6), some slide fasteners (8 and 9) being attached to the edges of the exterior layer (1) and of the interior heat-absorbing layer (7), the jacket being shaped about the user's body by means of some tabs (10 and 11) provided with touch-close fasteners.
