Abstract
The invention relates to a high energy multimode piezoelectric ultrasonic siren, in the range of 40...50 kHz, designed for rodent control. The enhanced emission of acoustic energy is accomplished by the operation of the transducer under resonant condition, using a piezoceramic transducer system of the bimorph disk-type (1) as a drive member, by the multimode oscillation rate within the useful frequency band, and by accomplishing a low loss air-coupling system comprising a conical horn (2), an aluminium solid-air impedance adapter.
