Abstract

The invention relates to a jar accessory used for jars and other containers, which ensures the long -term preservation of the vegetables, fruits and other foodstuffs, in various preserving solutions, under normal hygienical-sanitary conditions and without waste. The jar accessory comprises a cylindrical-walled annular support (1), loosely attached to the jar mouth by means of outer elastic protective cords (2), said support being provided with a glass or stainless metal ring (3), inserted into the support for supplementing the deadweight, with circle arch segments (4) split to the bottom, pivotally mounted at the upper base of the support with screws (5), said support having lamellas (7) with lateral ribs (8) thereon and which are provided on the inner surface with a spaced central longitudinal wire (9), inserted into a ring of wire incorporated into equally spaced crenels (12) at the bottom of the support, each lamella rotating with a 90 -degree angle between them, the lamella in the horizontal position being limited by the crenel bottom surface (13), the lamellas in retracted position at the jar mouth being located in equally spaced recesses (6) machined in the support inner wall.
