Abstract

The invention relates to an energy conductor with reduced surface effect, destined for the power transport, distribution and use. According to the invention, in order to reduce the surface effect, the conductor is carried out from more thin metallic wires (1), each coated with an electro-insulating material film (2) thereby achieving a marked decrease of the surface effect due to the circulation of the current through reduced cross-sections, as well as a decrease of this effect inside the wires surrounded by other wires, as a result of the proximity effect created between them, the wires of the same conductor being run by currents of the same sense, by their being connected in parallel.

Description

RO 111634 Β1RO 111634 Β1

The invention relates to an energy conductor with reduced film effect, intended for installations, machines, machines and electrical devices with the help of which the transport, distribution and use of electricity is carried out.

Metallic electrical conductors (copper, aluminum, steel), in single-wire or multi-wire execution, are known and widely used, but they have the disadvantage that in alternating current the film effect appears (slightly attenuated in twisted multi-wire conductors), which is practically particularly pronounced and it manifests all the more meaningfully, the higher the section of the conductors and the working frequency. Due to the particular effect, the conductors heat up additionally, thus requiring a dimensioning of the sections that is disproportionately large in relation to the values of the currents passed.

The invention removes the mentioned disadvantage in that, in order to reduce the film effect, a division of the conductor section is made, through its multifilar execution, from several thin metal wires, each covered on the outside with an electro-insulating film, thus achieving the reduction of the film effect both due to the circulation of the current through conductive wires of reduced section, as well as due to the repulsion of the current towards the center of the section of the wires that are surrounded by other wires, as a result of the proximity effect created between them, being traversed by currents of the same direction, by connecting them in parallel.

The energy conductor with reduced film effect, according to the invention, presents the advantage that by using it a significant increase in the powers transported per unit section of the conductor is obtained and, consequently, significantly lower investment costs in the transport, distribution and use of electricity .

An example of an embodiment of the invention is given next, in connection with the figure which represents a cross-section through a type of conductor for use in fixed installations, conductors for connections, cables and electric cords.

The conductor according to the invention is composed of several thin metal wires (copper, aluminum, steel) 1, with the role of conducting the electric current without a pronounced film effect as a result of the reduced section of the wires, each covered with an insulating film layer 2, which it has the role of galvanically separating the conductive wires from each other, and an outer insulating layer 3, with the role of ordinary insulation of the conductors. Through this construction, the metallic wires of each conductor are connected in parallel and will be passed by currents of the same direction, obtaining, for the wires surrounded all around by other wires, a reduction of the film effect and inside them, by repulsion of the current towards the center of the section of these wires, due to the proximity effect created between them.

For other uses, these conductors can also be made without the outer insulating layer of the bundle of wires, for example for electrical windings and overhead power lines.

The film electro-insulating layer that covers each metal wire in the composition of these conductors will have the smallest possible thickness, technologically achievable, and will consist of enamels, metal oxides or other electro-insulating materials, which can be deposited in films and can create a galvanic separation between the wires , depending on the destination of each category of conductors.

Also, the diameter of the metal wires will be as small as possible, chosen within the limits given by the specific conditions imposed by the regulations, for each category of conductors.

When connecting the conductors (in switchboards, derivations, at the terminals of machines and devices), the insulating layer will be removed from the metal wires on an appropriate length by scraping or chemically, thus making a parallel connection of the wires of each electrical conductor.
