Abstract
Glucose-isomerase is prepd. using STREPTOMYCES species pref. STREPTOMYCES 160, 162 or 164 (registered at the ICCF collection in Bucharest). The gp. is cultured at 30 deg.C for 44-48 hrs. on a medium contg. 0.5 wt.% xylose, 0.8% glycerol, 0.005% CoCl2, 2% maize extract, 1% malt flour, 0.07% MgSO4, 0.215% urea and 0.2% complete fertiliser.
