Abstract
Method comprises during a first stage 2 phiols of piafen are injected intramuscularly and intravenously, together with 0.3-0.4 mg/kg body wt. of diazepam given intravenously or in solids form, followed by 1-2 mg/kg body wt. of ketamine, given intravenously, at a starting dose of 1-2 mg/kg body wt., followed by 0.5 mg/kg body wt. every 15 mins. or /mg/kg body wt. every 30 mins., or 0.7 mg/kg body wt. at 60 mins. interval, associated with 5 mls. of piafen in 250 mls of isotonic glucose soln. perfused intravenously at a rate of 60-120 drops/min.
