Abstract
The process comprises treatment at 20 deg.C for 4 hrs. with soln. contg. 20-25 g/l of sodium hydroxide, 4 g/l of sodium hypochlorite and 2 g/l of wetting agent. Then, without rinsing, the work is treated with soln. contg. 20-25 g/l of sodium hydroxide, 30-40 ml/l of 30% oxygenated water, 15 g/l of sodium silicate, and 10 g/l of sodium persulphate with 0.5 g/l of whitening agent at 20 deg.C for 4 hrs., followed by hot and cold washing. The process saves on energy and water expenditure.***
