Abstract

Process comprises steam contraction at 96-100 deg.C for 25-35 mins., to increase aesthetic appearance and dimensional stability. Thus threads of up to 10% coloured PAN fibre and 90-100% white PAN fibre content are finished, with terminal processing by ca. 1% of cationic material for 25-35 mins. at ambient temp. The fibre spinning and twisting torsions are 450 and 250 tors/m respectively.
