Abstract
Biological removal of diethanolamine from sewage (wastes) comprises introducing into the sewage sources of phosphorus and microelements and a biocoenosis of Pseudomonas and Bacillus microorganisms obtd. by natural selection while cultivating active sludge on nutrient media contg. high concns. of diethanolamine. Pref. ratio of biocoenosis:sewage vol. is 1:1000-5000 and purification is at pH 7.2-8.8.
