Abstract

This invention describes a synthetic variety of cocksfoot called Olymp, obtained from five clones selected from the local and foreign varieties existing in our country; it is designed for cultivation in all the cocksfoot growing areas, in intensive irrigated culture, mixed with alfalfa and red clover. Based on this invention, this variety is semitardive, has good winter resistance, good perenity, is resistant to black and yellow rust, as well as leaf brown spot; it has a content of 21.73 S.U of green mass and has an average yield of 13.6 t/ha.
