Abstract

The device for continuously collecting and compacting refuse comprises a transverse structural unit of compacting plates (1) mounted on a transverse drive axle side by side. The drive axle is mounted inside a rear loading opening (4) which has a linked bulging and lower lid (5) which is supported on spiral springs(7) and which is moved when an excess of compacted refuse would restrict the rotation of the compacting plates. The lid is forced to open and exerts pressure on the springs so that the compacted refuse blocks are freed. A compacting sheet (9) is held in a horizontal slide guide (20) and is driven by piston (11).
