Referring objectively to the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawings and the numerical indications which have been established to indicate their different parts, the device of the invention is constituted by a part 1 preferably made of plastic or other suitable material which maintains the necessary stiffness, which adopts as a whole a prismatic angular, rectangular, isosceles prismatic shape defined by which it maintains the pillars which, in a known manner, internally reinforce the corners of the carton, at the upper protruding end 6 of which the recess is received. The part is closed upperly by means of a platform 4 whose front part protrudes slightly being circumvented by a corrugated edge. This platform constitutes the surface where it will support the lower corner of the box which in the stack will occupy the next higher position.

The sidewalls corresponding to the legs defining the triangular contour extend further through partitions 5, the arrangement of which may possibly be one-piece when these oatets extend at a common apex of attachment. The partitions 5 act as a lateral retention means for the upper immediate carton.

In the lower part these same sidewalls extend substantially downwardly in the region proximate the rear apex of the joint forming an angular appendage like a peak, which fits and rests on the upper angular profile of the pillar 6, which serves as reinforcing, thereby rigidifying the joint area of the side walls of the carton. The front wall 2 which is functionally situated on the front face of the abutment is of rectilinear development and its upper and lower edges form in their development soft concavities.

A stacking and stiffening device for cartons, characterized in that it is constituted by a piece of suitable rigid material, which takes the form of a rectangular or isosceles trisangular prism, with its lower base open, forming a housing enabling insert therein the upper end of the abutment which internally reinforces the carton corner. A stacking and stiffening device for cartons according to claim 1, characterized in that its top part is closed by a platform, the front part of which protrudes slightly from the rest of the assembly and has its outer edge corrugated, said platform constituting the seat for the lower comer of the carton overlapped in the stack. A stacking and stiffening device for cartons according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the side walls, corresponding to the legs of the triangle defining the frame, extend further to form partitions which rise above the platform and which can be formed in one piece, by joining at their apex of joining, these partitions constituting the side retaining means for the immediately overlapped casing. The stacking and rigidifying device for cartons according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the side walls extend in the vicinity of the rearward vertex of joining and progressively to form an angular appendage as the peak, which rigidifies said posterior vertex of union and copper, reinforcing the posterior angle of the abutment. A stacking and stiffening device for cartons according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that its front wall, which is situated on the front face of the column, has a rectilinear development, forming smooth concavities on its upper and lower edges.
