Abstract
After enamelling, a paste of minerals or their derivs., e.g. corundum, silica (quartz), aluminium oxide, titanium oxide and rutile, is applied by xerography. After drying for 10 mins. the bath again goes into the storing oven at 800-850 deg. C. The enamel melts at this temp., allowing penetration of the mineral paste. On cooling, the enamel solidifies, presenting a high relief due to incrustations of the mineral, which gives an anti-slip surface. The enamelled surface can also be roughened and made anti-slip by blasting with corundum particles in compressed air after cooling.
