Abstract
A PRESENTE INVENÇÃO DESCREVE UM NOVO PROCESSO PARA A OBTENÇÃO DE EXTRATOS BIOATIVOS GRAS (GERALMENTE RECONHECIDOS COMO SEGUROS) A PARTIR DE PLANTAS AROMÁTICAS, FREQUENTEMENTE UTILIZADAS COMO ADITIVOS EM ALIMENTOS. ESTE NOVO PROCESSO CONCILIA A HIDRODESTILAÇÃO DA PARTE AÉREA DAS PLANTAS, PARA EXTRAÇÃO DE COMPOSTOS LIPOFÍLICOS (ÓLEOS ESSENCIAIS), COM A PRODUÇÃO DE UM EXTRATO AQUOSO BIOATIVO, POSSIBILITANDO A RECUPERAÇÃO DE UM RESÍDUO DA PRODUÇÃO DE ÓLEOS ESSENCIAIS, MAXIMIZANDO TAMBÉM A QUANTIDADE DE PLANTA UTILIZADA E GARANTINDO A REPRODUTIBILIDADE DO PROCESSO, COM CONSEQUENTE RELEVÂNCIA PARA APLICAÇÃO INDUSTRIAL. ASSIM, O PRESENTE INVENTO, POSSIBILITA A RECUPERAÇÃO DAS ÁGUAS DE DECOCÇÃO, UM RESÍDUO DA HIDRODESTILAÇÃO, QUE APÓS LIOFILIZAÇÃO PERMITIRÁ OBTER EXTRATOS BIOATIVOS ENRIQUECIDOS, DE MUITO BAIXA TOXICIDADE, SEM A NECESSIDADE DE SOLVENTES ORGÂNICOS, QUE PODERÃO SER PROMISSORES NA ELABORAÇÃO DE SUPLEMENTOS ALIMENTARES OU FORMULAÇÕES FARMACÊUTICAS.THE PRESENT INVENTION DESCRIBES A NEW PROCESS FOR OBTAINING BIOACTIVE GRAS EXTRACTS (generally recognized as safe) FROM AROMATIC PLANTS, FREQUENTLY USED AS ADDITIVES IN FOODS. THIS NEW PROCESS CONCILITES THE HYDRODISTILLATION OF THE AERIAL PART OF THE PLANTS, FOR THE EXTRACTION OF LIPOPHILIC COMPOUNDS (ESSENTIAL OILS), WITH THE PRODUCTION OF A BIOACTIVE AQUEOUS EXTRACT, ENABLING THE RECOVERY OF A RESIDUE FROM THE PRODUCTION OF ESSENTIAL OILS, ALSO MAXIMIZING THE QUANTITY OF PLANTS USED AND ENSURING THE REPRODUCIBILITY OF THE PROCESS, WITH CONSEQUENTIAL RELEVANCE FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION. THUS, THE PRESENT INVENTION MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR THE RECOVERY OF DECOCTION WATERS, A WASTE FROM HYDRODISTILLATION, WHICH AFTER LYOPHILIZATION WILL ALLOW TO OBTAIN BIOACTIVE EXTRACTS ENRICHED, OF VERY LOW TOXICITY, WITHOUT THE NEED FOR ORGANIC SOLVENTS, WHICH MAY BE PROMISING IN THE PREPARATION OF FOOD SUPPLEMENTS PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATIONS.
