Abstract
Polydentate quelling agents of 3-hydroxy-4-pyridine type involve two or more bidentated units of 3-hydroxy-4-pyridinone interconnected by simple molecular systems (monomeric) or polymeric. From the adequate selection of molecular supports and of substitutive groups in the quelling units, and from spacer groups isolated between those units, an amalgam of new compounds is established.
