Abstract

Universally known motorized saws are not equipped with protective shielding around the cutting strips. Given this, and in the light of a number of publicized accidents, the author of this invention successfully designed, constructed and tested the aforesaid equipment, which may be fitted to any model or brand of motorized saw for greater efficiency and total safety during cutting. This equipment is composed of the cutting-blade protection assembly (Figure A) and of a bench for supporting firewood or wood to be cut (Figure B), which provides total safety, greater speed of cutting and a high level of reduction in the physical effort required on the part of the cutting operator. This bench can be dismantled in order to facilitate transportation and its storage after the work has been carried out. The equipment (Figure A) is prepared for felling trees, cutting wood and firewood, and pruning trees. In conjunction with the bench, it cuts twisted, straight, thick or thin firewood without a single operator becoming fatigued, and with no need for an assistant. <IMAGE>
