Abstract

Hydraulic, loading and unloading system for conveying containers which is mounted on a chassis or semi-trailer with which it is possible to load, unload and transport containers measuring 20, 30, 35, 40 and 45 feet. The chassis, which may belong to a lorry or a semi- trailer, may be towed by the motorized vehicle pulling it, the hydraulic energy required for movement of the system being guaranteed by a hydraulic pump which can be actuated by a power take-off. The system is composed of two sets of arms 1 which can be articulated and which are equipped with hydraulic actuating cylinders 10; of two extendible and inclined 6 and 7 shoes 2 which are positioned via inner hydraulic cylinders; of two manually or hydraulically extendible shoes 8 and 9 which are normally positioned on the opposite side from the first ones. Either the sets of articulated arms or the shoes (extendible and manual/hydraulic) are located at each end of the chassis so that the container to be moved is located between the articulated arms. The hydraulic cylinders and the points of rotation of each arm and of the articulated arms guarantee the system the required articulation and flexibility on the one hand for transportation and, on the other hand, for lifting/lowering the load when in service. Finally, the chassis structure can be extended so as to enable it to be adjusted to the length of the container to be transported, and it is complemented further by the possible sliding of the arms that can be articulated on the actual chassis, allowing its correct positioning for movement of the load and for its equilibrium during transportation. <IMAGE>
