PLThe subject of the invention is a device for the separation and determination of the grain size of comminuted materials composed of grains of various sizes and different densities, intended especially for the separation of comminuted minerals in ores and concentrates. The so far known device for determining the grain size, operating using the sedimentation process, is based on the method of automatic weighing of grains falling at a certain time on the weighing pan, which is suspended to the balance beam by means of a metal rod and is located in a sedimentation vessel in the form of a glass cylinder placed in a second vessel filled with liquid and connected to a thermostat that ensures a constant temperature during the measurement. The second pan is used to balance the initial state of the balance by loading it with weights. In the sedimentation vessel, after filling it with the suspension, all the grains fall, but at different speeds, depending on their size and density. For this reason, the load on the weighing pan by the falling grains of the comminuted material, recorded on the belt moving at a specific speed by means of a self-saving device, changes during the measurement. From the obtained sedimentation chart, the content of individual grain fractions of specific sizes is read using the graph method. * The main disadvantage of the so far known device for grain size determination is the inability to distribute grains of materials with different densities and therefore erroneous results are obtained, because the weighing pan at the same time It is loaded with both large grains of small density and small grains of high density. The essence of the invention is the construction of the device for separating and determining the size of grains consisting of a vertical sedimentation pipe with a water jacket, a lower grain feeder, a conical hopper, an upper grain feeder and a tank there is a lower grain feeder in the lower part of the sedimentation pipe, and a conical hopper in the upper part, an upper grain feeder in it, and a tank above the upper grain feeder. The lower grain feeder consists of two rollers arranged in one horizontal plane, on which the perforated belt is stretched endlessly, and of a pressing plate placed under the perforated belt. The upper grain feeder consists of two upper rollers located in one horizontal plane and two lower rollers located in the other horizontal plane, on which the perforated belt is stretched endlessly, and a pressing plate located under the perforated belt. The main technical and utility advantage resulting from the use of of the device according to the invention is the possibility of separating and determining the grain size of comminuted materials composed of grains of various sizes and different densities. The subject of the invention is presented in an exemplary embodiment and, in the drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a diagram of a device for separating and determining the size of grains in a longitudinal section 2 - the device in plan view, and fig. 3 a detail "a" of the device. The device for particle size distribution and sizing according to the invention consists of a vertical sedimentation pipe 1 with a water jacket 2 thermally insulating the sediment pipe 1, and a capable nozzle 3 for introducing the liquid y sedimentation, \ with the upper port 4, used to discharge the liquid. In the lower part of the sedimentation tube 1 there is a lower grain feeder consisting of two rollers 5 and 6 arranged in one horizontal plane, on which the perforated belt 7 is stretched endlessly, and a pressing plate 8, located under the perforated belt 7, W the upper part of the sedimentation pipe 1 is located in a conical funnel 9, and in it an upper grain feeder consisting of two upper rollers 10 and 11 located in one horizontal plane and two lower rollers 12 and 13 located in the other horizontal plane, on which the perforated belt is stretched 14 without an end, and from a pressing plate 15 situated under the perforated belt 14. Above the upper grain feeder there is a bottomless container 16. Moreover, the area between the lower edge of the sedimentation pipe 1 and the perforated belt 7 of the lower grain feeder is sealed by a flange ring 17 embedded in the lower part of the sedimentation pipe 1, while the area between the lower edge of the tank 16 and the perforated belt 14 of the upper grain feeder is sealed by a flanged ring. 18 embedded in the lower part of the tank 16. and The distribution of the grains by means of the device according to the invention is carried out as follows. The crushed material, consisting of narrow grain classes of the solid phase, is mixed with the sedimentation liquid, and then poured into the tank 16. The sedimentation liquid from the additional tank is introduced through the lower port 3 by means of a pump to the sedimentation pipe 1 and discharged through the upper port 4. The flow of sedimentation liquid is regulated by a valve placed in the conduit connecting the pump with a suitable stub pipe 3. Then the rollers 10 and 11 of the upper grain feeder and the rollers 5 and 6 of the lower grain feeder are set in motion, as a result of which the perforated belt 14 of the upper feeder moves. grains and the perforated belt 7 of the lower grain feeder. The solid grains from the tank 16 fill the holes of the perforated belt 14 of the upper grain feeder and are transferred to a conical hopper 9, where they come into contact with the sedimentation liquid, are washed out of the holes of the perforated belt and fall through the sedimentation liquid into the lower part of the sedimentation tube 1. Due to the flow of sedimentation liquid in the pipe 1 from the bottom upwards, the grains are divided with respect to the density. The grains of higher density accumulate in the lower part of the sedimentation tube 1, from where they are led outside by means of the perforated belt 7 of the lower grain feeder. Whereas the grains of lower density © are lifted by the sedimentation liquid and discharged outside through the upper nozzle 4. Determining the size of the grains by means of the device according to the invention is carried out as follows: Particulate material, composed of narrow grain classes and with a specific density of the solid phase, is mixed with the sedimenting liquid , then it is poured into the tank 16. Sedimentation tube 1 is filled with sedimentation liquid, and the valves of the lines connected to the lower port 3 and the upper port 4 are closed. Then the rollers 10 and 11 of the upper grain feeder are rotated at a strictly defined time. The solid grains from the tank 16 fill the openings of the perforated belt 14 of the upper grain feeder and are transferred to a conical hopper 9, where they come into contact with the sedimentation liquid, are washed out by them and fall through the sedimentation liquid to the lower part of the sedimentation tube 1, from where they are led out through by means of the perforated belt 7 of the lower grain feeder. Then the weight of the grains that have fallen in the sediment tube 1 is weighed, the grain size of the solid phase is calculated from the Stokes formula. PL
