PL PLHitherto used methods of purification of water used to wash out fat-containing materials, and in particular water used to wash out wool, regardless of whether this treatment consists of the use of chemical reagents or by passing the water through it is ventilated only for solids to be separated; and the water remaining after the separation is discharged into canals or into running waters. The obtained sediment contains fats mixed with protein bodies, with compounds of fatty acids (in the form of soluble and insoluble soaps) and with mineral and organic pollutants. By the above-mentioned methods of purification, it can be removed from the rinse water the body constantly, complying to a certain extent with the hygiene regulations; lost bodies, however, are still not generally applicable in industry, or the methods of extracting fats from them change the chemical composition of these fats, significantly reducing their value. The present invention concerns a method of extracting fats from the above-mentioned lost bodies because these fats are obtained in a very pure state and with a higher sales value; In particular, this applies to the sludge lost from the water used for washing wool. For this purpose, the sludge lost in any or all way is washed with lukewarm water in which the sludge is not melted and the sludge is boiled with carbonate. For example, with sodium carbonate and better without the addition of water, because the amount of water present is sufficiently high, loses all the soluble soap, saponifies the fats and causes the coagulation of albumin and their derivatives. Then the masses are heated until they are dried in the open air, in a vacuum, or by blowing air through them; after drying, it is still heated in the open air, in a vacuum, or preferably under pressure in an autoclave for a long time, depending on the composition of the mass and the type of fat extracted from it, taking care, however, that the temperature does not exceed 105 ° C, otherwise the fat may burn. Then, fats accumulate on the surface of the mass, and impurities, due to the higher specific gravity, fall to the bottom in the form of flakes. The resulting fat is carefully decanted and then boiled with water to separate any remaining impurities (soap, etc.); the pure fat flows to the surface and can be collected in this way. After careful pouring and spilling the fat, it can still be centrifuged to obtain a very pure fat. The remaining liquid still contains some fat in the form of an emulsion, which It is put into the water to be treated and processed with it. Thus, it is possible to obtain from the water used for the leaching of wool, fat or lanolin completely neutralized, very pure and of any color. PL PL
