Istnieja jednakze praktyczne granice wielkosci powierzchni, jaka mozna uzyskac w przypadku bliskich siebie tarcz. 1 przedsta¬ wia dwa kontaktory umieszczone w zbiorniku oczyszczalni w widoku z przodu, fig. 2 — kontaktor przedstawiony na fig. 1 w widoku z boku z kierunku oznaczonego strzalkami 2 - 2, fig. 3 — przekrój wzdluz linii 3 — 3 z fig. 1, fig. 4 - przekrój wzdluz linii .4 - 4 z fig. 1, fig. 5 - przekrój wzdluz linii 5 - 5 z fig. 4, fig. 6 - odmiane kontak¬ tora w widoku z przodu z usunietymi czesciami, fig. 7 - przekrój wzdluz linii 7 - 7 z fig. 6, fig. 8 - inna odmia¬ ne kontaktora w widoku z przodu z usunietymi czesciami, fig. 9 - kontaktor z fig. 8 w widoku z boku w plasz¬ czyznie linii 9 - 9 na fig. 8, fig. 10- przekrój wzdluz linii 10 - 10 z fig. 8, fig. 11 - inna odmiane k; uiktora w widoku z przodu z usunietymi czesciami, fig. 12 - plyte tworzaca czesc kontaktora z fig. 11, w widoku z przodu, fig. 13, fig. 15-jeszcze inna odmiane wynalazku, w którym zastosowano elementy trapezowe uwidocznione na fig. 13 i 14, zas fig. 16 - prze¬ krój wzdluz linii 16 - 16 z fig. 15.Na fig. 1 do 5 przedstawiono dwa obrotowe kontaktory biologiczne 20 i 21 znajdujace sie w zbiorniku 22, majacym wlot 23 i wylot 24 scieków. Walki 26 polaczone sa z odpowiednim mechanizmem napedowym, obracajacym kontaktory 20 i 21. (fig. 3).Kazda tarcza 28 zawiera srodkowa piaste 32, która lezy wjednej plaszczyznie czolowej tarczy 28 i opiera sie o identyczna czesc piasty 32 drugiej tarczy 28 kazdej z tarcz 29. W ten sposób poddawane obróbce scieki stykaja sie z caloscia zanurzonych powierzchni wewnetrznych i zewnetrznych kon¬ taktorów 20 i 21. Podobnie, calkowite wewnetrzne i zewnetrzne powierzchnie kontaktorów 20 i 21 sa poddane dzialaniu tlenu w atmosferze ponad sciekami, bowiem powietrze krazy przez promieniowe i wspólsrodkowe kanaly tarcz. Równiez mozna utrzymywac odpadajacy szlam w postaci zawiesiny w sciekach i przesylac go dalej do nastepnych faz oczyszczania. Odpowiednimi materialami sa polistyren i polietylen. Zespoly kontaktorów 20 i 21 maja duza powierzchnie, na której powstaje szlam biologiczny, znacznie wieksza niz stosowane dotychczas do budowy obrotowych kontaktorów biologicznych tarcze z materialów spienionych. Jednoczesnie, dzieki zastosowaniu konstrukcji cienkosciennej, kontaktory 20 i 21 powoduja przemieszczenie znacznie mniejszej objetosci scieków ze zbiornika, dzieki czemu w kazdej chwili w zbiorniku znajduje sie wieksza objetosc scieków. W rzeczywiscie stoso¬ wanych kontaktorach, srednica powinna byc wieksza i kontaktory powinny zawierac wiecej warstw wspólsrod¬ kowych kanalów 31 i 37. 6 i 7. Kazda tarcza kontaktora 40 sklada sie z grupy identycznych kolowych sektorów 41. Kazda strona tarczy sklada sie z trzech sektorów 41, z których kazdy objemuje kat 120°. Trzy sektory 41a zwrócone ku sobie plaskimi powierzchniami tworzace jedna tarcze laczy sie nastepnie z trzema innymi sektorami 41 b tworzacymi druga tarcze tak, ze powstaje tarcza. Sektory 41 maja podobny ksztalt jak tarcze 28 i wyznaczaja duza ilosc promieniowych kanalów 42 i wspólsrodkowych kanalów 43 przebiegajacych pomiedzy polaczonymi elementami kazdego sektora i ele¬ mentami zetknietymi. 10. 8 do 10. 13 do 16. Sztywne tworzywo spienione 91 umieszcza sie dokola walu 90 w obszarze pomiedzy walem 90 i centralnymi otworami 89 w plaskich tarczach 82 oraz pomiedzy sasiednimi plaskimi tarczami 82 (fig. 16). Jednakze równolegle kanaly 88 sa objete stwierdzeniem „kanaly na ogól wspólsrodkowe", poniewaz to okreslenie jest stosowane w opisie i w PL PLThe subject of the invention is a biological contactor for wastewater treatment, in particular a rotating biological contactor, which is partially immersed in the sewage to be treated and rotated so that it subject the deposited sludge to the action of aerobic sludge, alternating between the nutrient contained in the wastewater and oxygen in the atmosphere above the wastewater. but until recent times, rarely used biological wastewater treatment methods have relied on the use of contactors on the surface of which aerobic sludge is formed. In general, the contactors rotate upon partial immersion in the sewage such that the alternating exposure of the contactor surface to the sewage and atmospheric oxygen causes the growth of the bacterial layer covering the contactor surfaces. Bacterial sludge on such surfaces is mainly composed of aerobes that can absorb, coagulate and oxidize undesirable organic constituents of the effluent and convert these constituents into harmless forms of matter. The use of rotating contactor surfaces also increases oxygen transfer to the effluent in the reservoir where the contactor rotates. This accelerates the multiplication or synthesis of aerobic bacteria, found in mixed sewage and in the bacterial layer, as well as increasing the bacterial exposure to the sewage and reducing the sewage to a harmless form. The maximum efficiency of the contactor can only be achieved by using as large a surface as possible to form sludge. biological. From German Patent Specification No. 135,755, contactors in the form of rotating wheels made of an open porous material such as a wire brush are known in order to provide a large surface area for bacterial deposition and growth. Recently, attempts have been made to obtain large surfaces using closely spaced circular discs mounted on a shaft and made of foam plastic. There are, however, practical limits to the amount of surface area that can be obtained with closely spaced targets. First, the discs must be of a certain thickness to ensure the necessary lateral stiffness. Second, if the targets are placed too close together in an attempt to obtain a large surface area, the growth of bacterial sludge will clog the spaces between the targets and significantly reduce the effective surface area. Thirdly, iiii and closer to each other the discs will be placed, the greater will be the water capacity carried by the discs, which / reduces the retention time of the effluents in the tank and hinders biological treatment.2 87242 Also known from German Patent No. 18 15 001.1, contactors made of several filter sections having the shape of sectors or cubes arranged side by side on a supporting frame radiating out from the shaft, the filter sections consisting of a large number of layered plates which form an axle-type structure. also from US Pat. No. 3,235,234 methods for purifying waste water by oxidizing the contained organic materials, in which a submerged unit is used consisting of a series of spaced apart sheets having protrusions that contact adjacent sheets to form a series of helical flights between the sheets, both vertically and horizontally. Waste water and oxygen flow through the above-mentioned passages and fed by a mechanical oxidation device. When treating waste water in rotary biological contactors and related biological treatment methods, the necessity of using systems with a large surface area of bacterial sludge growth has long been proven, but so far no cheap rotary biological contactor has been built, The object of the invention is to provide a large surface area contactor design that is strong, cheap, lightweight and displaces a minimum volume of wastewater in the tank in which it operates and allows a greater volume of wastewater to be retained in the tank for treatment. The object of the invention has been achieved by developing a contactor design which includes elements in the form of disks arranged next to each other along the shaft, the disks having a large number of spaced radially discontinuous channels open at the perimeter of the disk and a series of generally concentric channels connected at each end to the channel. radial, and adjacent discs define an additional series of generally concentric, discontinuous channels connected at each end by a radially directed channel. The rotating biological contactor comprises an arrangement of thin-walled circular sheets arranged next to each other on a common axis of rotation. Adjacent sheets form a large number of radial kaalas circumferentially spaced from each other, said radial channels being open to the periphery of the discs. Between the said sheets, there are a number of generally concentric discontinuous channels passing between adjacent pairs of radial channels, connected at each end to the radial channel. According to the invention, the biological contact with an increased surface area consists of an array of discs arranged side by side on a common axis of rotation. Said array of discs comprises a large number of spaced apart radially directed discontinuous channels which are open around the periphery of said discs, said discs having a plurality of internal, generally concentric discontinuous channels which connect at each end to the radially directed channel. and the adjacent discs additionally define a series of generally coaxial, discontinuous passages, connecting at each end to a radially directed channel. The device according to the invention may take various forms, each of which is an improvement over those previously used, and some The subject of the invention is illustrated in an example embodiment in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows two contactors placed in the treatment plant tank in a front view, Fig. 2 the contactor shown in Fig. 1 in a view. from the side in the direction marked by arrows 2 - 2, fig. 3 - p 1, Fig. 4 - section 4 - 4 in Fig. 1, Fig. 5 - section 5 - 5 in Fig. 4, Fig. 6 - contact variation in front view with parts removed, Fig. 7 is a section taken along line 7-7 of Fig. 6, Fig. 8 - another variation of the contactor in front view with parts removed, Fig. 9 - contactor of Fig. 8 in Fig. a planar side view of lines 9 - 9 in Fig. 8, Fig. 10, section taken along line 10-10 in Fig. 8, Fig. 11, another variation of k; front view with parts removed, fig. 12 - plate forming part of the contactor of fig. 11, front view, fig. 13 - tape that can be cut along the lines marked in the drawing to form trapezoidal elements in top view Fig. 14 is a section of the tape taken along the lines 14-14 of Fig. 13, Fig. 15 is yet another variant of the invention in which the trapezoidal elements shown in Figs. 13 and 14 are used, and Fig. 16 is a section taken along line 16. 16 of Fig. 15. Figs. 1 to 5 show two rotating biological contactors 20 and 21 in a reservoir 22 having an inlet 23 and an outlet 24 for wastewater. Each of the contacts 20, 21 is mounted on a hollow square shaft 25 which in turn is connected to circular short rollers 26 pivotally mounted in bearings 27 mounted on top of the side walls of the tank 22. The rollers 26 are connected to a suitable rotating drive mechanism. contactors 20 and 21. Contactors 20, 21 may be used in tanks of various shapes and sizes, and tank 22 plays no role in the invention. Therefore, the tank 22 and its inlet and outlet are only outlined in the drawing.87 242 * 3 Each of the contactors 20, 21 contains a large number of the same circular thin-walled shaped discs 28. The pair of discs 28a, 28b are joined by surfaces and form discs 29 and the discs 28a and 28b composing the discs 29 abut or are connected to the elements 28b and 28a of each adjacent disc 29. The discs 28 are so shaped that when joined together they form the discs 29, and define a large number of radial channels 30 spaced apart. coming from the central hub and open outside the periphery of disc 29. Both discs 28a and 28b making up each disc 29 are also so shaped that they define a series of concentric channels 3la, 3Ib, 31c etc., which are hexagonal in cross-section and pass between adjacent radial channels 30 and connects at each end to a radial channel 30. (Fig. 3). Each disc 28 includes a central hub 32 which lies in one face of the disc 28 and rests against an identical part of the hub 32 of the other disc 28 of each disc 29. Each disc 28 also includes alternately distributed parts of the gable walls 33a, 33b, 33c etc., which alternately lie in the plane of the central hub 32 and the other, remote face of the disc 28. The alternating parts of the end walls 33 are connected by inclined connecting elements of the walls 34a, 34b, 34c etc. so that each disc 28 contains half the area necessary to define concentric channels 31. Each disc 28 is also made jointly with the walls 35 which lie in a plane positioned in the center between the two gables of the disc 28 and which are connected by transition surfaces with the elements of the gable surfaces 33 to form concentric channels 31 such that each disc 28 contains half lines defining the radial channels 30. Outside the radial 30 and concentric canals With lamellas 31 formed inside each disc 29, adjacent discs similarly define radial channels 36 and concentric channels 37a, 37b, 37c etc. between each other. Accordingly, the side-by-side array of discs 29 has the general form of a honeycomb formed of concentric channels 31 and 37 and a continuous series of radial channels 30 and 36 extending along the axis of rotation of the contactor, with concentric channels 31 and 37 connecting at each end. with radial channels 30 and 36 (Figs 3, 4, 5). The contactors 20 and 21 are partially submerged in the waste water in the reservoir 22. As the contactors 20 and 21 rotate, the liquid waste enters the concentric channels 31 and 37 through the radial channels and 36 as they sink into the sewage and flow through the concentric channels 31 and 37 and emerge from the radial channels 30 and 36 as they emerge from under the sewage surface. The treated effluents thus come into contact with the entirety of the submerged inner and outer surfaces of the contacts 20 and 21. Likewise, the entire inner and outer surfaces of the contactors 20 and 21 are subjected to the action of oxygen in the atmosphere above the effluents, as air circulates through the radial and concentric channels. shields. A layer of aerobic bacteria is formed on the surfaces of the contactors 20, 21, which is nourished by alternately exposing the surface to nutrients contained in the waste water and to the action of atmospheric oxygen. . Sludge falling off the surface of the contactors is deposited at the bottom of the vessel 72, where it is collected and disposed of. It is also possible to keep the discharged sludge suspended in the waste water and forward it to the next treatment phases. The discs 28 are made of thin sheet material, the thickness of which is most preferably between 0.5 mm and 0.75 mm. The discs 28 are shaped as desired, most preferably by conventional vacuum forming processes. It is most advantageous to use a plastic material which is biologically inert as the material. Suitable materials are polystyrene and polyethylene. The discs 28 can be joined together to form the discs 29 and the discs 29 can in turn be joined by solvent glueing in the case of polystyrene or, ultrasonic bonding in the case of polyethylene, which cannot be glued with a solvent. Large, flat contact surfaces 33 reduce adhesive problems that could arise from radial misalignment of targets. Contactor assemblies 20 and 21 have a large surface area that produces biological sludge, much larger than previously used material targets for rotating biological contactors foamed. In the case of using discs of the same diameter, assuming that the thickness of the disc 29 is the same as the distance between the flat surfaces of the porous discs used heretofore, a doubling of the active surface of the discs can be obtained. At the same time, thanks to the thin-walled design, the contactors 20 and 21 displace a much smaller volume of waste water from the tank, so that there is a greater volume of waste water in the tank at any time. The obtained extension of the wastewater retention time results in increased removal of undesirable organic substances from the wastewater. Compared to conventional foamed material targets, the device shown in Figures 1 to 5 has a volume 10 times smaller.4 87 242 The size of the radial and concentric channels must be sufficient so that bacterial sludge does not block these channels. In the order of the size of the channels, the distance between the two face planes of each disk 28 can be determined to be, for example, approximately 17 mm. Figs. 37. In actual contactors used, the diameter should be larger and the contactors should contain more layers of concentric channels 31 and 37. When large diameter bands are desired, difficulties may arise in making the discs 28. The diameter and the monatase method are shown in Figures 6 and 7. Each contactor wheel 40 consists of a group of identical circular sectors 41. Each side of the wheel consists of three sectors 41, each of which has an angle of 120 °. The three sectors 41a facing each other with flat surfaces forming one disc then connect to three other sectors 41b forming the other disc so as to form a disc. The sectors 41 are similar in shape to the discs 28 and define a large number of radial channels 42 and concentric channels 43 extending between the connected elements of each sector and the contacted elements. Each sector 41 delimits one half of each of the concentric channels 43 and one half of each of the radial channels 42. The contactor 40 shown in Figs. provide openings to allow wastewater and oxygen to flow freely into and out of the concentric channels. In order to increase the strength of the assembly, the edges of 44 sectors 41a of one group of shield elements are offset from the edges of 44 sectors 41b of another group by a predetermined angle so that no sector 41 has edges 44 aligned with the edges of 44 sectors on both sides of it. The sectors 41 are deposited on an expressed square shaft 45, and the inner perimeter 46 of each sector 41 is most preferably limited by a series of concentric squares of the same size as shaft 45 and offset angles by said fixed angle. square 45 is used to align the sectors 41 in relation to each other during the assembly of the device. Figures 8 to 10 illustrate another variation of the rotary biological contactor 50, which has the form of alternating thin-walled flat discs 51 and thin-walled shape discs 52, with each flat and shaped disc being discs 53. of the dial 53 is placed on the expressed v but 54 square. The flat discs 51 are made of a single piece, and the shape discs 52 are radially spaced apart with notches 55 extending outward from the center hub 56. The width of the cutouts 55 increases as it moves away from the shaft 54. Shaped discs 52 are provided, as in the previous examples, with alternating wall gable elements 57a, 57b, 57c and eq, which lie in both planes of the spherical face plates 52 and are connected by inclined connecting wall elements 58a, 58b, 58c etc. the way concentric channels 59a, 59b, 59c etc. between each shape disc 52 and the flat disc 51 of each disc 53 and additional concentric channels 60a, 60b, 60c etc. between the shape disc 52 and the flat disc 51 of adjacent disc 53, which is shown in Fig. 10. The concentric channels 59 and 60 all connect at their ends to the radial notches 55, and the cutouts 55 with the flat discs 51 of adjacent discs 53 define the radius. in channel 61. The contact shown in FIGS. 8 to 10 has certain advantages over the one described previously. First, it is cheaper, because only half of the discs need to be vacuum formed. Secondly, in order to obtain about the same cross-sectional area of the concentric channels 59 and 60 as in the previous example, the distance between the face planes of each shield 52 will be approximately twice as large as that of the shields in the previous examples. As a result, larger radial channels 61 will be obtained, which will further reduce the possibility of clogging. The radial channels in the previous examples may be formed similar to the radial channels 61 with increasing cross-section as the distance from the axis of rotation increases. This has the advantage that the expanding channel can pass an enlarged outflow that occurs naturally at such points as the contactor 50 emerges from the wastewater. The variation of the contactor shown in Figs. 11 and 12 is similar to the example shown in Figs. 8 to 10. The contactor 70 also consists of an alternating arrangement of flat disks 71 and shape disks 72. However, disks 72 are made as a whole and have a shape similar to disks 28 described in the first example. The shaped discs 72 include wall elements 73 positioned in the center between the end faces of the discs 72, which are the walls of one half of a large number of radial channels 74. All discs 71 then have radial cuts 75 that fit over the part of the walls 73, so that that each radial channel 74 is defined by the wall portions 73 of each adjacent pair of shape disks 72. This solution has the advantage that it is easier to cut material from flat disks 71 than from shape disks. Also, the wall portions 73 in the shape discs 72 hold the gable walls and the connecting walls defining the concentric channels so that they do not flatten and enlarge their diameter during assembly. The contactor variation is shown in Figures 13 to 16. The contactor 80 consists of the dials 81, which in turn, they include flat circular disks 82 and a group of trapezoidal elements 83. Trapezoidal elements 83 may be produced by cutting from a continuous embossed ribbon 84. The shape of the ribbon 84 has the cross-section shown in Fig. 14, and includes alternately stacked gable walls 85 arranged in two spaced planes and connected by walls 86. Trapezoidal sections 83 are circumferentially spaced apart at a distance from each other on each flat disc 82 and thus define radial channels 87 between the ends of the trapezoidal sections 83. In general, concentric channels 88 are defined between the trapezoidal section 83 and a flat disc 82 on each side. The flat disc 82 should preferably be equipped with an internal a circular hole 89 which is larger than a hollow square shaft on which the device seats. Rigid foam 91 is positioned around shaft 90 in the area between shaft 90 and central holes 89 in flat discs 82 and between adjacent flat discs 82 (FIG. 16). This creates a core of rigid foam around shaft 90. The contact shown in Figures 13 to 16 has the advantage that the shaped sections 83 can be produced using a plastic extrusion process rather than more expensive vacuum forming. The channels 88 are paralleled in parallel. to the tangent to flat discs 82 and therefore, to be exact, are not concentric channels. However, parallel channels 88 are covered by the phrase "generally concentric channels" since this term is used in the description and in PL PL
