Przedzial temperatury, w którym dziala wskaznik jest zalezny od skladu jakosciowego i ilosciowego mieszaniny.Zgodnie z wynalazkiem stwierdzono , ze cieklokrystaliczny wskaznik zawierajacy 84-90% mieszaniny estrów cholesterolu z kwasami powstalymi w wyniku hydrolizy oleju rzepakowego, 9-11% propionianu cholesterylu oraz 1—1,5% p-nitrobenzoesanu cholesterylu, w którym wypelniacz stanowi tlenek kobaltu, wykazuje zmiany zabarwienia w przedziale temperaturowym 35—42°C.Cieklokrystaliczny wskaznik wedlug wynalazku jest szczególnie przydatny, ze wzgledu na przedzial temperatury, w diagnostyce medycznej. Stabilnosc chemiczna i fizyczna wskaznika, a nadto niski koszt jego skladników stanowia dodatkowa jego zalete. PL
