According to the invention, the mixture of excipients of layer B contains water-soluble lanolin, talc and polyoxyalkylene sorbitan monolaurate, the proportions of which are The weight ratios are from 90:70:4 to 80:60:4. In both layers A and B the active agents are a mixture of phenylmercuric nitrate, benzothonium chloride and methyl p-oxybenzoate, whose weight ratios are from 2:4:25 to 3:5:20. Compared to those used so far, the caps according to the invention represent a significant advance. The combination of the above-mentioned active substances ensures optimal medical action, while the properties and proportions in which the reagents are selected provide additional important advantages. The outer layer containing polyoxyalkylene sorbitan monolaurate is particularly advantageous, as it brings the active substances into direct contact with the mucous membrane and causes delayed softening of the cap. a few seconds, which thus more easily achieves its intended purpose; and prevents the layer from getting stuck in the mucous membrane, as often happens with ordinary caps. The inner layer containing water-soluble lanolin, in addition to containing the active substances, acts as a paste, enabling the cap to adhere to the mucous membrane to which it should be attached. The invention is described in more detail with the help of the following example. On the outer surface of the cap made of starch layers having a diameter of 24 mm, there is applied a 20 mg layer consisting of a homogenous mixture of the following ingredients: polyoxyalkylene sorbitan monolaurate 17 mg active substances 3 mg.
