Abstract

Description

Description of the design The design is a training device intended for training in judo, boxing, kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, martial arts, wrestling, and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

Currently, boxing and martial arts training utilizes a variety of training equipment and aids, including hanging bags, dummy punches, and freestanding bags. These aids are manufactured and used separately, resulting in high production and acquisition costs and space requirements.

In the case of freestanding bags, their storage in the base varies; either the base is connected to the bag with a spring, or the connection is permanent. There are also bags attached to the base with a zipper or Velcro, which is placed around the bottom edge of the bag. This prevents the training aid from being used for other purposes. With the training device described below, the punching bag is inserted into the base, which is a novelty among existing solutions. Compared to existing solutions, the described training device has three uses – as a hanging bag, as a freestanding bag, and as a thrower.

The aim of the design is to design the device to ensure training variability, less space required, lower production and supply costs, very simple operation and assembly of individual components.

The essence of this training device is its two-piece construction, which consists of two separate parts: a cylindrical bag and a circular base. The outer diameter of the base is larger than the diameter of the bag that is placed in the base. The base is reinforced on the inner circumference and is equipped with a concentric circular hole in the center, with a diameter equal to the diameter of the bag that is placed in it. The bag is also equipped with at least one hanging strap at one end and a safety device to prevent accidental release.

Preferably, the other end of the bag and the lower part of the base opening are equipped with Velcro for securing the bag to the base.

Preferably, the base is equipped with at least one carrying strap.

Preferably, the carrying strap is located on the outer circumference of the base.

Preferably, the bag cover is made of a combination of PVC and foam materials and the bag filler is a combination of foam materials and sand, with the sand being placed at the bottom of the bag to create the center of gravity of the bag so that the bag stands on its own without a base.

Preferably, the base covering is made of a combination of PVC and foam materials, and the base filling is made of a combination of foam rubber materials and sand.

At one end, the bag is equipped with at least one strap for hanging and protection against accidental unfastening, the other end is designed to be inserted into the base.

In a preferred embodiment, the bag includes four suspension straps, which are attached around the circumference of the first end of the bag, two evenly spaced opposite each other for fastening purposes, so that when folded, they form a cross at the first end of the bag. The suspension straps are equipped with a safety device to prevent accidental release. This safety device is provided, for example, by Velcro fasteners attached to the suspension straps. When the training device is used as a free-standing bag, the straps are secured with a safety device. When used as a hanging bag, the safety device is released and the bag is hung in the designated location.

The base height is less than the bag height; this ratio varies depending on the material used and the dimensions of the base and bag. The base is reinforced around the inner perimeter and is equipped with a concentric circular hole in the center, the same size as the bag diameter, for inserting the bag into the base.

The base is equipped with at least one carrying strap attached to the outer circumference of the base. In a preferred embodiment, the base is equipped with two straps positioned opposite each other along the outer circumference of the base. These straps facilitate handling of the training aid, while also allowing the base to be used as a tool for strengthening exercises.

In another preferred embodiment, the other end of the bag and the bottom of the base opening are equipped with four Velcro strips for securing the bag to the ground. The Velcro strips can be attached, for example, across the entire diameter, in the form of strips, parallel strips, or other shapes.

The bag is secured to the base by inserting the bag into the base. The bag is inserted into the base at the other end. Alternatively, the other end is equipped with Velcro, while the bottom of the base is also equipped with Velcro. By connecting the soft and rough parts of the Velcro, the bag is secured to the base. If the other end of the bag is equipped with soft Velcro, the bottom of the base is equipped with rough Velcro, the soft and rough parts of the Velcro can be placed reversely. This attachment holds the bag in the base.

To remove the base, loosen the Velcro fastener between the base and the bag using circular motions, place the bag on the ground and secure it with your knee, then push the base away from the bag with your hands.

After removing the bag from its base, it can be used as a classic hanging punching bag. To hang the bag, for example, from a hook, loosen the straps at the first end of the bag and hang it in the designated spot.

The bag can also be used as a textile punching bag for throwing exercises, etc., for judo, wrestling, or MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). In this case, the hanging straps are secured with a safety lock, and the bag is used on its own without a base.

The advantage of the presented solution is that it is a multi-purpose training aid that can be used as a freestanding bag, a dummy bag, or as a hanging bag.

Another advantage is that the bag and base are made of a soft material, without the use of metal or hard plastic, ensuring safe training.

The bag's outer shell is made from a combination of PVC and PE foam materials, such as Plastel, Hitex, Polyplan, and Trocellen PE. The bag's filling is made from a combination of foam materials, such as

Pur HD and sand. The base covering is made of a combination of PVC and PE foam materials, e.g.

Plastel, Hitex Poliplane, Trocellen Pe, a combination of foam materials, crumb rubber, e.g., recyclable crumb rubber, and sand serves as base filler.

The lower part of the bag, which is designed to be inserted into the base, is filled with sand, which creates a center of gravity that allows the bag to stand on its own without a base, providing additional training versatility.

The material is selected so that the training aid meets the training options mentioned above while being light enough to carry and transport.

The training aid consists of two separate parts: bag 1 and base 2.

The cylindrical bag 1 is equipped with four hanging straps 3 at its first end.

Suspension straps 3 are attached around the circumference of the first end of bag 1. Two straps are placed opposite each other, one above the other, so that when the opposite straps are connected at the end of bag 1, a cross is formed. Straps 3 are equipped with a safety device 4 to prevent accidental unfastening. Straps 3 are equipped with Velcro fasteners that fasten the straps 4 together when placed one above the other.

Base 2 has a round base, with the outer diameter of base 2 being larger than the diameter of bag 1, which is inserted into base 2. Base 2 is one-sixth the height of bag 1. Base 2 is reinforced on the inside around its circumference and is equipped in the center with a concentric circular opening the same diameter as bag 1. Bag 1 is inserted into the opening of base 2. Base 2 is also equipped with two carrying straps 6. The straps 6 are located opposite each other on the outer circumference of base 2 at its center height. In the lower part of base 2, there is an opening equipped with Velcro 5 for securing the inserted bag 1.

Placing bag 1 into base 2 involves inserting bag 1 into base 2. The other end of bag 1 is equipped with a soft Velcro part 5 arranged in four strips, and the bottom of the opening inside base 2 is equipped with a rough Velcro part 5 arranged in four strips. This attachment holds bag 1 in base 2.

After removing bag 1 from base 2, bag 1 can be used as a classic hanging punching bag.

To hang bag 1, for example, on a hook, loosen the hanging straps 3 at the first end of bag 1 and hang it in the designated place.

Bag 1 can also be used as a punching bag for throwing exercises, etc., for judo, wrestling, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

Base 2 can be used as a multifunctional device for strengthening exercises.

Bag 1 and base 2 are made of soft materials, no metal or hard plastic is used, ensuring safe training.

The bag cover 1 is made of a combination of PVC materials 7, in this case Hitex Polyplan, and foam 8, in this case Trocellen PE. The bag filling 1 consists of a combination of foam materials 9, in this case PUR HD, and sand 10.

The base cover 2 is made of a combination of PVC 7 materials, in this case Hitex Polyplan, and foam 8, in this case Trocellen PE. The base filling 2 is a combination of foam 9, in this case PUR HD, crumb rubber 11, and sand 10.

The lower part of the bag 1, which is intended to be placed in the base 2, is filled with sand 10 so that the center of gravity ensures independent positioning of the bag 1 without the base 2 in order to further vary the training.

This training device is highly versatile and can be used for judo, boxing, kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, martial arts, wrestling, MMA, strength training, and more. It can be used for home training as well as training in gyms and similar facilities.
