7304873 048 PLPriority: Application announced: May 30, 1973 Patent description was published: December 30, 1974 73048 KI. 23c, l / 04 MKP ClOm 1/08 READING ROOM; Un * 4u W *** "* °] Inventors: Hubert Latos, Wladyslaw Woropaj Entitled under the provisional patent: Jan and Jedrzej Sniadecki University of Engineering, Bydgoszcz (Poland) Cutting fluid used during machining of aluminum and its alloys The subject of the invention is a cutting fluid used in the cutting of aluminum and its alloys. Known and used different types of cutting fluids used in cutting metals and their alloys are generally expensive. The disadvantage of these fluids is that they have a special application for one metal and its alloys and allow to achieve a limited surface smoothness only. The aim of the invention is to avoid the drawbacks mentioned, and in particular to prepare such a cutting fluid used during machining of metals and their alloys, which will allow to obtain a high surface smoothness of the machined surface by the method of cutting without increasing machining costs The essence of the invention consists in adding an emul oil to a known cutting fluid, which is an aqueous solution disintegrating small amounts of special surfactants such as: casein, dextrin, bone glue, gelatin, Turkish oil, p-naphthol, urea, thiourea, starch, vinyl alcohol, which are added individually or in a number of traces up to 2%, which results in a fluid that prevents the growth of adhesives in the cutting zone, which, with a significant increase in chip stiffness, causes no sticking or elimination of already formed adhesions. The fluid of the invention allows for obtaining a higher smoothness of the treated surface than with known liquids and is more universal. Depending on the composition and purpose, the following liquids can be distinguished: an aqueous solution of emulsifying oil consisting of water, mineral oil and binders mixed with the addition of 0.2% casein, an aqueous solution of emulsifying oil mixed with the addition of 0.1% casein and 0.1% bone glue and 0.1% starch. The invention consists in adding to a known cutting fluid, which is an aqueous solution of emulsifying oil, consisting of water, mineral oil and binding agents, ingredients such as casein, dextrin, bone glue, gelatin, Turkish oil, naphthol, urea, thiourea, starch, vinyl alcohol singly or collectively in the best liquid form in order to shorten the mixing time and mechanical mixing, the total content of additives may also exceed 2% The fluids according to the invention have been successfully tested in the boring, milling, threading and alloying of PA4 aluminum. The cutting fluid according to the invention can easily be prepared directly at the workplace. 7 304 873 048 PL
