The subject of the utility model is a disposable tray, intended in particular for carrying and consuming food and drinks directly on its surface.

Known designs of disposable trays for carrying and serving and consuming meals such as lunch, breakfast, dinner or dessert are a substantially uniform, suitably shaped piece of material, usually plastic, for example polypropylene, or materials with thermal insulation properties such as foamed polyurethanes, for example.

Some trays have recesses, for example two, three or four recesses, which provide chambers for the various ingredients of a meal. This makes it possible to separate dishes such as meat, vegetables, sauces, desserts and drinks, as well as separate additional elements from the food, such as cutlery or napkins.

These types of trays are often used in restaurants and canteens. The multi-chamber design of the tray allows for the elimination of many dishes and plates, thus affecting the ergonomics of serving meals. Various tray designs for serving and storing meals are known from the patent literature. From the Polish description of utility model 60627, a multi-compartment tourist tray is known, made of plastic or paper, with a square-shaped main recess with rounded corners and a concave side, and additional circular recesses and a longitudinal recess located between the circular recesses. The entire rim of the tray is provided with a groove. From the Polish patent specification 198162 a tray in the form of a system for serving meals is known. The system includes a seasoning sauce container and an apparatus with a container receiving device that is a handle slipped over an edge of a support with a container receiving device extending from the edge of the support. A packaging tray is also known from the Polish patent 197515. The tray is rectangular in shape with rounded corner portions, mainly a flat bottom and sloped side walls, which at the top merge into an annular rim approximately parallel to the bottom 1 consisting of one molded piece, the upper side of which consists of a diffusion-proof coating, having barrier properties such that the cover or canopy film is welded to the annular rim of the package. The Polish description of the utility model 53248 also describes a tray intended for domestic use. The tray is circular in shape with a thickened border. On one side, the tray has a groove that runs equidistant from the rim. The part of the tray covered by the groove is flat. The other side of the tray has a recess where side dishes can be placed. In addition, the same side of the tray has an opening and two spherical depressions. The publications described above show that the design of the trays for serving or transporting multi-dish meals is undergoing continuous improvements to improve the ergonomics of serving meals.

It would be expedient to develop a tray with a design that ensures high ergonomics when serving, transporting and / or storing meals.

The subject of the utility model is a multi-chamber meal tray, which is a uniform body with a rectangular boundary with rounded corners, containing the main surface in which there are cavities, separated by partition walls, characterized by the fact that it comprises: the first corner recess of a polygon shape adjacent to the first shorter the side of the tray and the first long side of the tray; a second corner recess, separated from the first corner recess by a partition wall and adjacent to the second short side of tray 1 of the first long side of the tray; a main recess having a circular shape and separated by partition walls from the first corner recess and the second corner recess; a third circular corner recess adjacent to the first short side of the tray and the second long side of the tray; a fourth circular corner recess adjacent to the second short side of the tray and the second long side of the tray; a first rectangular secondary recess adjacent to the second long side of the tray and separated by partition walls from the third corner recess and the fourth corner recess; a second polygonal auxiliary recess, separated by partition walls from each of the other recesses.

The tray has seven shaped chambers 110-170 formed as recesses with respect to the main plane 101. The outer periphery of the tray is formed by outer walls 109 and between the chambers 110-170 there are inner walls 201-211. The height of the partitions 201-211 may be less than the height of the external side walls 109.

The first corner recess 120 is polygonal and adjacent to the first short side 103 of the tray and the first long side 102 of the tray.

The second corner recess 130 is separated from the first corner recess 120 by a partition wall 201 and adjacent to the second short side 104 of the tray and the first long side 102 of the tray. Preferably, the second corner recess 130 is shaped to mirror the first side recess 120 about the shorter symmetry axis 106 of the tray.

The first 120 and the second 130 corner recesses are suitable for containing solid or semi-liquid food, for example meat, starch, salads or desserts.

The main recess 110 is circular in shape and is separated by partition walls 202, 203 from the first side recess 120 and the second side recess 130. The main recess 130 is particularly suitable for holding round containers, for example soups, sauces, stews and other liquid and semi-liquid dishes. The recess may have a depth less than that of the other recesses, which facilitates the removal of a flat container therefrom.

The third corner recess 140 is circular and is adjacent to the first short side 103 of the tray and the second long side 105 of the tray.

The fourth corner recess 150 is circular and is adjacent to the second short side 104 of the tray and the second long side 105 of the tray. The fourth corner recess 150 may have a diameter smaller than the third corner recess 140.

The third 140 and fourth 150 corner recesses are suitable for holding cups or glasses with drinks, salads or sauces and desserts.

The first secondary recess 160 is rectangular in shape adjacent to the second long side 105 of the tray and is separated by partition walls 204, 205 from the third corner recess 140 and the fourth corner recess 150.

The second secondary recess 170 is polygonal and is separated by partition walls 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211 from each of the other recesses 110-160.

The first 160 and second 170 auxiliary recesses are suitable for containing auxiliary utensils, for example cutlery, napkins, spices or packaging sauces. The walls 109, 201-211 have arcuate edges which facilitate their formation.

Furthermore, the tray may include through recesses: a first corner recess 181 between the first 120 and third 140 corner recesses and a second corner recess 182 between the second 130 and fourth 150 corner recesses. These recesses facilitate the removal of, for example, cups from round corner recesses 140, 150.

The tray 100 according to the utility model should be made of any material that allows the food to be kept at the appropriate temperature for a specified period of time and provides optimal mechanical and thermal resistance. For example, the tray 100 may be made of biodegradable material, preferably compressed sugar cane fibers that are recycled with the cardboard and paper materials.
