Description
Opublikowano: 1<5.VH.1973 67753 KI. 421,4/16 MKP GOln 25/22 Wspóltwórcy wynalazku: Jerzy Waclawik, Stefan Waszak Wlasciciel patentu: Instytut Chemii Przemyslowej, Warszawa (Polska) Ciagly sposób oznaczania niewielkich stezen par chlorowco-pochod- nych zwiazków organicznych i/albo chlorowcowodorów w powietrzu i innych gazach W opisie patentowym nr 53146 podano ciagly sposób oznaczania par chlorowcopochodnych zwiazków orga¬ nicznych i ewentualnie chlorowcowodorów w powie¬ trzu i innych gazach. Uzyskane produkty przepuszcza sie nastepnie przez rurke wypelniona mieszanina bromku i bromianu wydzielajac równowazna ilosc bromu, która nastepnie oznacza sie sposobem i w urzadzeniu wedlug opisu patentowego nr 50961.W przypadku prowadzenia oznaczen chlorowcopo¬ chodnych w suchym gazie, gaz ten przed wejsciem do pieca nawilza sie do uzyskania kilkakrotnego stezenia pary wodnej w odniesieniu do stezenia oznaczanego skladnika w badanym gazie. PL PLPublished: 1 <5.VH.1973 67753 IC. 421,4 / 16 MKP GOln 25/22 Inventors: Jerzy Waclawik, Stefan Waszak Patent owner: Institute of Industrial Chemistry, Warsaw (Poland) Continuous method of determination of low concentrations of halogenated organic compounds and / or hydrogen halides in the air and others In the patent specification No. 53146 there is given a continuous method of determining the vapors of halogenated organic compounds and possibly halogenated hydrocarbons in air and other gases. It consists in passing the tested gas contaminated with halogen derivatives and / or hydrogen halides continuously through a furnace with a temperature of about 800 ° C filled with palladium catalyst, and the combustion products are passed stepwise through a mixture of bromide and bromate, or iodide and iodate or through rinsing with their aqueous solutions to obtain free halogen, which is then determined by known methods. It turned out that the temperature of the furnace could be lowered if the expensive palladium catalyst was replaced by a filling consisting of granulated titanium dioxide with a large surface and the gas to be tested is passed through the furnace in the presence of steam. In the furnace, the reaction with formation takes place depending on the compound to be determined, among others, TiX4, CO, CO2, HX, where X is halogen, with TiX4 decomposing again into TiO2 and free halogen and hydrogen halide under the action of steam. The gaseous reaction products then pass through a tube filled with a mixture of bromide and bromate or iodide and iodate in accordance with Patent No. 53,146. Example. Air contaminated with trichlorethylene vapors up to 3.0 ppm with normal relative humidity flows at a constant rate through a 700 ° C furnace filled with granular titanium oxide. In the furnace, trichlorethylene is decomposed quantitatively into CO2, Cl2 and HCl under the influence of TiOg and water vapor. The obtained products are then passed through a tube filled with a mixture of bromide and bromate, releasing an equal amount of bromine, which is then determined by the method and apparatus according to the patent description No. 50,961. obtaining a multiple concentration of water vapor in relation to the concentration of the analyzed component in the tested gas.
