Mozliwosc wykonania balansu z rurki szklanej umozliwia pomiar gestosci wszystkich cieczy i gazów. 10 PL PLPriority: Published: 20.VIII.1971 63583 KI. 42 1.1 / 03 MKP G 01 n, 9/04 UKD Inventor: Henryk Domagalski Patent owner: Lodz University of Technology, Lodz (Poland) Instrument for measuring the density of liquids and gases. The subject of the invention is a device for continuously measuring the density of liquids The known devices called rotameters, by means of which the density of liquids is measured continuously, give results with large systematic and random errors. In rotameters, the test liquid flows through a tube whose internal profile is a rotating parabola. A float is placed in the path of the flowing liquid, which is lifted in the tube as the speed increases. The height to which the float is lifted depends not only on the density of the test liquid, but also on the shape of the tube, the flow rate of the liquid, the viscosity of the liquid and the temperature. The above factors make the error of the indicated rotameter difficult, and often impossible to determine. In another known device, in which the diaphragm deflection caused by the pressure of the flowing liquid is a measure of the density of the liquid, the measurement errors are not smaller than when measuring with using a rotameter. The reason for these errors is that the amount of diaphragm deflection depends not only on the density of the flowing liquid, but also on the fluid flow rate and temperature. An additional disadvantage is that the measurement can be made only for liquids that are chemically inert to the membrane material. The object of the invention is to construct a device for continuous measurement of the density of liquids and gases, With the help of which the results are less error-prone than with known instruments, and also allow the measurement of the density of even small amounts of factors. According to the invention, an example is a spring-loaded clock mechanism, the balance of which is made of one tube bent into a double circle or an even number of double circles in in such a way that the liquid or gas flowing through the balance in two adjacent circles has a different flow direction. The moment of balance inertia depends on the density of the liquid or gas in the balance, therefore the rotational speed of the spring clock, part of which is the balance filled with the measured factor, is a measure of the density of this factor. The instrument for measuring the density of liquids and gases according to the invention is presented in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows a cross-section of the device, fig. 2 is an axonometric view of the balance of the device according to the invention. In the housing 1, a balance 3 made of one tube is mounted on the bearing 2, with the central part of the tube bent into a double circle in this the way that the test liquid flowing in inlet 4 and flowing outlet 5 has a different flow direction in one circle than in the other. The balance 3 is connected to a spring clock by the escapement mechanism 6, 6358363583, and moreover, it is connected to the spiral spring 7. The rotational speed of the spring clock, connected by the escapement mechanism 6 with the balance 3 is the function of the inertia moment of balance 3. Depending on the density of the fluid flowing through the balance, the moment of inertia of the balance will vary, and thus the rotational speed of the spring clockwise, which speed will be a measure of the density of the liquid. The even number of double circles allows for an accurate static and dynamic balancing of the balance. The possibility of making a balance from a glass tube allows you to measure the density of all liquids and gases. 10 PL PL
