Eng., Mateusz Janicki, Adam Skarbek Patent owner: "Mortimer - Porabka" Hard Coal Mine, Zagórze (Poland) Device for piling up and loading mined material in longwall workings The subject of the invention is a device for piling up and loading mined material in a longwall face. Until now, the mined material shot in the longwall was either not piled up at all, or rigid gates made of long and heavy elements, most often wooden, i.e. logs, were used for piling it up. or round logs, less often made of steel or used rubber bands. The gates of the types used so far also pose a threat to workers staying in the longwall after loading the mined material piled up by them, as they block access to the escape field, which is very dangerous in the event of a sudden increase in pressure in the face or the breaking or sliding of larger lumps of mined material onto people in the face. Gates of the known type, made exclusively of rigid elements, are destroyed by the recoil of the mined material shot out at the face and do not properly fulfill the task of piling up the mined material above the conveyor, causing a significant part of it to be thrown over the conveyor. They are also not resistant to the blast caused by the force of the detonation of the explosive material. The aim of the invention is to eliminate these disadvantages of the existing devices and to create a device with a design similar to that of the existing devices. light, piling up about 70% of the mined mineral, not providing resistance to the blast caused by the force of the detonation of the explosive material shot off in the mineral body in the wall. This goal was achieved by constructing a piling device consisting of a low, rigid part, attached to the conveyor, and a high, flexible part made of a strong net made of double or multiple knotted string in a net or curtain mesh arrangement made of highly durable materials and by stretching this net between the rigid part of the device and a line stretched along the face and attached to various types of support by means of handles. The net is slidably attached to the rope using loosely suspended hooks, and the net elements are connected using standard quick-release fasteners. This solution results in a very simple, lightweight, and easy-to-assemble and disassemble device. The rigid section of the device, located near the conveyor, protects the track for the loader moving along the conveyor and prevents the material from being thrown off the conveyor during operation. The upper, high part of the device, 25, made of a flexible and highly durable material, retains a significant amount of the excavated material, piling it up above the conveyor during blasting and, as an "openwork" device, does not provide any resistance to the blast wave caused by the detonation of the explosive material. 57 7413 The device for piling up the mined material and loading it according to the invention allows to avoid the risk to the crew, which is achieved by using the flexible properties of the nets used in the device, the assembly and disassembly of which consists in rolling or unrolling them, which enables the blasting miners to perform these activities together with the blasting work, and therefore it is possible to eliminate the work of other teams during the blasting work in the longwall, as well as it is very easy to expose the escape field after the self-loading process of the mined material and thus eliminate the risk to the crew working in the longwall. The invention in an exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing, where Fig. 1 shows a cross-section of the longwall and the spread of the mined material after the blasting in the absence of a device for piling up the mined material in a longwall excavation, Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of the wall and piling up the mined material above the longwall conveyor after blasting, in the case of using a device according to the invention, Fig. 3 shows the piling up device in a view from the side of a selected space, Fig. 4 shows a cross-section of the piling up device along the line A—A marked in Fig. 3, Fig. 5 shows the structure of the suspension of the upper edge of the net and the method of tensioning the rope in the longwall excavation, Fig. 6 shows the structure of the net mesh in a plastic network arrangement, made of double string and with stabilized knots, Fig. 7 shows a cross-section of the wall showing the structure of the suspension of the net barrier in its cooperation with the steel support. Fig. 8 shows the wall in cross-section showing the structure of the net barrier's spanning and its suspension on the anchor housing, Fig. 9 shows a front view of a detail of the suspension of the upper edge of the net on the anchor housing, Fig. 10 shows a side view of a detail of the suspension of the rope with the net on the wooden housing, Fig. 11 shows a front view of a detail of the suspension of the rope with the net in a rhombus mesh pattern on the wooden housing, Fig. 12 and Fig. 13 show a front and side view of a detail of a variant of the suspension of the rope with the upper edge of the net on the steel-segmented housing, Fig. 14 and 15 show a view and a cross-section of a variant of the suspension of the rope with the net on the stands of the wooden housing, Fig. 16 and 17 show a view and a cross-section of suspending a net barrier during the preparation of blasting work in the longwall. In a longwall face without any piling devices, after blasting, the mined material is scattered in such a way (fig. 1) that only part of the mined material (I) is retained on the conveyor 1 covered with shielding plates 2, which, after being covered with shielding plates, is loaded automatically onto the conveyor 1, while part of the mined material (III) is thrown beyond the conveyor 1 and has to be loaded manually. In a longwall face equipped with net barriers according to the invention (fig. 2), a large percentage of the mined material is piled up on the conveyor 1, 65 because it is retained by sheet metal gates 3 and the net 4, thanks to which the mined material (I) and (III) is located above the conveyor 1 and after removing the protective plates 2 it is loaded automatically. The device for piling up the mined material in the longwall working, designed as a net barrier, consists of a rigid part, i.e. a sheet metal gate 3, which is the equipment of the conveyor 1 covered with protective plates 2, a net 4 made of highly durable plastic in a rhombus (net) or rectangular (curtain) mesh arrangement, an upper rope 5 on which the net 4 is slidably suspended by means of hooks 6, and clamps 7 driven into the stands 8, supporting the roof bars 9. The lower edge of the net 4 is fastened to hooks 10, attached to the rigid gate 3 of the conveyor 1. The rope 5 with the net 4, slidably suspended on hooks 6, is fastened at both ends by means of clamps 11 to struts 12 and tensioned by means of a tensioning device 13. The mesh of the net 4 is preferably made of a double string a and knots b stabilized in a bath of a hardening agent solution, e.g. polyurethane. The rope 5 is supported along its length together with the net 4, suspended on it by means of hooks 6 on holders, the design of which depends on the type of wall cladding used. In the case of a steel cladding, the holder is made in the form of scissors 14, suspended on the ceiling 15. Such a holder consists of jaws 16, pivotally connected at a joint 17 at the lower end, tensioned by a spring. 18 and connected by a chain 19, attached to one jaw with a closed eyelet 20, and hung on the other on a hook 21. The rope holder, in the case of a wooden housing, is made either in the form of a clamp 7 driven into the stand 8 and having a hook 22 attached to it, supporting the rope 5 with the net 4 hung on it via sliding hooks 6, or this holder is made in the form of a clamp 23, made in the shape of a pole-crane with spikes 24, driven into the pole 8 when loaded. The clamp 23 has a hook 25 in its lower part, on which the rope 5 rests with the hooks 6 slidably hung on it with the net 4 attached to them. At the anchor housing, the flexible part of the device the net 4, preferably in a curtain mesh arrangement, attached at the bottom to the rigid part 3 of the conveyor 1, is suspended at the upper edge on a rope 5 threaded through links 27, which are suspended through stirrups 28 of the anchor 29. The device according to the invention operates in such a way that, first, before starting the blasting work in the wall (figs. 16 and 17), the net 4 of the net barrier is suspended in a rolled-up state via hooks 6 on the rope 5, which rests on hooks 22 of the clamp 7, driven into the stand 8 under the roof beam 9. After punching the blasting holes in the wall, the blaster unwinds the net 4 and lowers it down, 57 741 6 then attaches the lower edge of the net 4 to the hooks 10 of the rigid gate 3 of the conveyor 1. Now the blast holes in the wall are shot out, and the blasted material is thrown by the force of the detonation of the explosive onto the stacking device and caught in the net 4. The front miner now starts loading the material caught by the net barrier by uncovering the shielding sheets 2 covering the conveyor 1. While uncovering the shielding sheets 2 and loading the material onto the conveyor 1, behind the miner uncovering the shielding sheets 2, the lower edge of the net 4 is unfastened from the hooks 10 of the rigid gate 3 and the net 4 is moved along the rope 5 on the hooks 6 in the shape of a curtain, thus revealing the escape field 26 - through which eliminates the threat to the mine face crew.
