There are two mechanisms for casting steel: one mechanism was used to impart to the crystallizer reciprocating movements carried out by means of a lever-eccentric system driven by an electric motor, preventing the inlet from sticking to the walls of the crystallizer, the other mechanism was provided with a continuous roller The two mechanisms had separate electric drives with synchronized rotation. Each of the mechanisms had a motor, clutch, gear and a roller cage of a complex structure, with the rollers cooled by water. These systems were characterized by a complex structure and large dimensions what p It was associated with high investment costs and required careful maintenance during work. Moreover, the necessary high precision of workmanship also resulted in increased costs. The previous mechanisms for changing the profile during continuous casting required replacement of not only the crystallizer, but also the rolls, which was troublesome and labor-intensive. The mechanism according to the invention does not have these disadvantages, it is simple in structure, it is cheap, compact and performs both activities simultaneously, not requiring much labor-intensive operation. Moreover, when changing the profile, only the gripping jaw needs to be changed. The mechanism according to the invention is shown in the drawing, in which fig. 1 shows a side view of fig. 2 - a partially sectioned top view. The mechanism according to the invention shown in the drawing comprises two gripping jaws 1 applied to a continuous ingot 2 articulated on the levers 3 having a pivot point associated with the frame 4. The other ends of the levers 3 receive reciprocating drive by hydraulic cylinders 5 through the yoke 6. The yoke 6 and the frame 4 slide freely on the guides 7.
