Crystallizers for the continuous casting of steel are known, which consist of zip-fastened copper plates surrounded by steel blanks. The crystallizers are tightened by means of screws parallel to the plates and perpendicular to the connection of the plates. All parts of the crystallizer are cooled by water. This design makes it difficult to elongate the plates during casting, due to the high resistance of the joint between the plates and the large difference in the elongation of the clamp and the interior. For these reasons, fissures are formed in the place where the plates are joined, and the crystallizer must be withdrawn from work or regenerated by machining. After regeneration, however, it is impossible to assemble a crystallizer with the same internal dimensions. The object of the invention is to avoid these drawbacks by eliminating the effect of the joint of the panels on their elongation. According to the task, the elimination of the effect of the joint of the panels on their elongation is achieved by according to the invention, by arranging the plate connection with the lock in the plane of the bisector of the angle between the plates and the screws in the plane perpendicular to it. Thus, while maintaining the advantage of the perpendicular position of the bolt with respect to the joint, the joint has no effect on the elongation of the plates. Such a location of the connection allows the crystallizer to be folded to the same internal dimension after regeneration. Due to the elimination of the influence of the joint on the elongation of the panels, instead of the sheet metal clamp, we can use non-chilled water ring clamps without fear of creating gaps. The subject of the invention is shown in an example of the embodiment in the drawing, in which Fig. 1 shows the crystallizer in a top view and Fig. 2 shows a side view.
