Janusz Szweykowski, Roman Trzaska, Marian Malo¬ better Patent owner: Electrotechnical Institute, Warsaw (Poland) Mechanism of ejection of the isotope preparation mounted on a flexible roller Patent No. 44685 for "isotope defectoscope remotely controlled "predicted that the ejection of the isotope from the defectoscope head would be performed, inter alia, by a disk with a flexible roller wound on it. The present invention, presented now, specifies how to fix a flexible roller (possibly a wire, cord or string) in if the distance to which the isotope is to be extended is "n" times the diameter of the target. Figure 1 shows a view of the device according to the invention. The drive shaft 1 rotates a disc 2 in which, on its periphery, a groove is cut in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the roller 1. A flexible roller 3 coiled in spirals is folded into the groove. One end of the flexible shaft 5 is fastened to the disc with a screw or is crimped or brazed into the discs. At the other end, the holder with the isotope preparation 4 is attached. Rotating roller 1 extends or slides the isotope out of the defectoscope head. The stroke length of the isotope depends on the number of turns of the spiral placed in the groove. PL

1.
