Wynalazek dotyczy sposobu grudkowania mialkich frakcji zelgrudy o ziarnie ponizej 3 mm. Dotychczas mialkie frakcje zelgrudy do¬ dawano do mieszanki spiekalnianej i spiekano.The invention relates to a method of prilling fine fractions of gelgrass with a grain size smaller than 3 mm. Hitherto, fine fractions of the gelgrass were added to the sintering mixture and sintered.
Sposób ten jest nieekonomiczny ze wzgledu na utlenianie zelaza metalicznego w procesie spie¬ kania oraz wiekszego zuzycia paliwa w wielkim piecu dla ponownej jego redukcji. Zuzywanie zelgrudy mialkiej bezposrednio do wsadu wiel¬ kopiecowego jest równiez nieekonomiczne, a to ze wzgledu na duze straty przez wydmuchiwa¬ nie z wielkiego pieca.This method is uneconomical due to the oxidation of the metallic iron in the sintering process and the increased consumption of fuel in the blast furnace to reduce it again. Proponowana metoda polega na wytwarzaniu grudek zelgrudowych wielkosci 10—20 mm, na¬ dajacych sie bezposrednio do wsadu wielkopie¬ cowego. Istota wynalazku jest zbrylanie mialkich frakcji zelgrudy o ziarnie ponizej 3 mm w pro¬ cesie grudkowania z dodatkiem koncentratów maignetytowych i roztworu chlorku wapnia w urzadzeniach grudkujacych. Uzyskane grudki rozsypuje sie w warstwe wysokosci 500 mm na skladowiskach zadaszonych. Warstwe grudek polewa sie czesto woda dla umozliwienia zacho¬ dzenia reakcji sanioutwardzajacych.
