Materac ten charakteryzuje się tym, że polimerowe warstwy komórkowe (3, 4) są otoczone warstwą siatkowego poliestrowego trykotu ochronnego (7), który charakteryzuje się przepuszczalnością powietrza wynoszącą co najmniej 100 l/m2/h przy różnicy ciśnień wynoszącej 200 Pa.
