Abstract

Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest sposób otrzymywania modyfikowanej żywicy fenolowo-formaldehydowej, w reakcji formaldehydu z fenolem w obecności kwasu organicznego oraz dodatku modyfikującego prowadzony w temperaturze wrzenia mieszaniny reakcyjnej, który charakteryzuje się tym, że 10,0% - 17,0% wag. formaliny w mieszaninie z dodatkiem modyfikującym, korzystniej ich mieszaninami, poddaje się reakcji z 39,0% — 65,0% wag. fenolu w obecności 0,7% - 1,5% wag. kwasu szczawiowego, przy czym jako dodatek modyfikujący stosuje się haloizyt w ilości 0 - 3,5% wag., grafit ekspandujący ilości 0% - 46% wag., polifosforan amonu ilości 0% — 20% wag., cynian cynku w ilości 0% — 14% wag., cyjanuran melaminy w ilości 0% — 8,0% wag. Wynalazkiem jest również kompozycja ograniczająca palność tworzyw sztucznych zawierająca fenolowo-formaldehydową zmodyfikowaną powyżej ujawnionym sposobem w ilości 16% - 40% wag. oraz 28% - 66% wag. polifosforanu amonu, 0% - 29% wag. polifosforanu melaminy, 0% - 15% wag. czerwonego fosforu, 0% - 5% wag. cynianu cynku, 0% - 18% wag. grafitu ekspandującego, 0% - 33% wag. cyjanuranu melaminy.The subject of the application is a method for obtaining a modified phenol-formaldehyde resin by reacting formaldehyde with phenol in the presence of an organic acid and a modifying additive carried out at the boiling temperature of the reaction mixture, which is characterized in that 10.0% - 17.0% by weight of formalin in a mixture with a modifying additive, more preferably mixtures thereof, are reacted with 39.0% - 65.0% by weight of phenol in the presence of 0.7% - 1.5% by weight of oxalic acid, wherein the modifying additive used is halloysite in an amount of 0 - 3.5% by weight, expanding graphite in an amount of 0% - 46% by weight, ammonium polyphosphate in an amount of 0% - 20% by weight, zinc stannate in an amount of 0% - 14% by weight, melamine cyanurate in an amount of 0% - 8.0% by weight. The invention is also a composition for reducing the flame retardancy of plastics, containing phenol-formaldehyde modified by the above-disclosed method in an amount of 16% - 40% by weight and 28% - 66% by weight of ammonium polyphosphate, 0% - 29% by weight of melamine polyphosphate, 0% - 15% by weight of red phosphorus, 0% - 5% by weight of zinc stannate, 0% - 18% by weight of expandable graphite, 0% - 33% by weight of melamine cyanurate.
