Przykładowe urządzenie (200) do ogrzewania łopat wirnika zawiera magnes stacjonarny; solenoid (202A, 202B,..., 202-n) przeznaczony do obracania się wokół lub wewnątrz magnesu stacjonarnego, przy czym obrót ma na celu generowania energii elektrycznej przy użyciu solenoidu (202A, 202B, ..., 202-n) oraz element grzejny (116A, 116B, ... 116-n) osadzony w łopacie (112B) wirnika, przy czym element grzejny (116A, 116B, ..., 116-n) ma na celu zwiększania temperatury łopaty (112B) wirnika przy użyciu energii elektrycznej do łagodzenia oblodzenia.
