Abstract

The subject of the application is a new pellet made of a mixture of wheat bran and dry sewage sludge, with improved mechanical strength, characterized by the fact that the mixture of wheat bran and dry sewage sludge containing dry sewage sludge and wheat bran in a mass ratio of dry sewage sludge to wheat bran ranging from 1 ˸99 to 1˸4, contains an additive improving mechanical strength, which is biochar obtained from sawdust from coniferous trees in an amount from 0.5 to 2% (m/m), based on the weight of the pellet, which biochar was obtained by carrying out the process pyrolysis in a microwave reactor at a temperature of 600°C for 10 minutes, with a flow of 16 l/h of inert gas.
