Cylinder zwłaszcza do silnika Stirlinga zawierający tłok silnika, głowicę cylindra, korbowód i kanał doprowadzający czynnik roboczy charakteryzuje się tym, że posiada głowicę cylindra (2) z otworami (4), których średnica jest dopasowana do średnicy prętów (8) osadzonych na tłoku silnika (1) na jego powierzchni od strony otworów (4), przy czym rozmieszczenie i liczba prętów (8) jest takie samo jak rozmieszczenie i liczba otworów (4) a otwory (4) osadzone są nad prętami (8).
