Abstract

The method of monitoring the movement of the eyelids, especially in devices that warn about falling asleep or distraction, consists in placing in the vicinity of at least one eye an optical radiation source generating at least one optical radiation beam and at least one optical radiation detector, illuminating at least one eye at least one beam of optical radiation with an intensity lower than the intensity causing the eye's reaction to illumination with the beam of optical radiation generated by the optical radiation source, the intensity of the reflected light beam is measured with an optical radiation detector and compared with the optimal value, which is the intensity value when the eyelids eyes are open and the eyeball is illuminated with the intensity value of the reflected beam when the eyelids are closed, the duration of the intensity value of the reflected beam is analyzed when the eyelids are closed and a signal is generated alarm if the duration of the measured value of the intensity of the reflected beam is equal to / longer than the maximum permissible duration of the intensity of the reflected beam for normal eye blinking. The device for monitoring the movement of the eyelids according to the invention comprises a support structure (1) to which are attached at least one optical radiation source (2.2) and at least one optical radiation detector (3.1), the signaling system (3.3) and at least one power supply system (4). ) connected to the signaling system (3.3). Moreover, it comprises at least one control circuit (2.1) connected to the optical radiation source (2.2) and at least one signal level shaping and processing circuit (3.2) connected to the optical radiation detector (3.1) and the signaling circuit (3.3), the circuit being the control unit (2.1) and the signal level shaping and processing circuit (3.2) are connected to the supply circuit (4).
