Urządzenie do wygładzania foliami ściernymi zewnętrznych powierzchni walcowych, składające się z obrabiarki oraz głowicy z układem przesuwu folii ściernej obejmującym rolkę docisku folii, rolkę rozwijającą i rolkę zwijającą folię ścierną, charakteryzuje się tym, że obrabiarka jest wyposażona w przymocowany na stałe do łoża obrabiarki zbiornik (22) wypełniony płynem obróbkowym (23), a znajdująca się w głowicy (1) rolka (10) docisku folii ściernej zamocowana jest na końcu dwuramiennej dźwigni (11) osadzonej wahliwie na jej osi (24), przytwierdzonej na stałe do korpusu (5) układu (2) przesuwu folii ściernej, przy czym rolka dociskowa (10) w położeniu roboczym jest całkowicie zanurzona w płynie obróbkowym (23) wraz z częścią opasującej ją folii ściernej (8) oraz dolną częścią walcowej powierzchni obrabianego przedmiotu (9), a ponadto urządzenie zawiera siłownik (13) przytwierdzony do korpusu (5) układu (2) przesuwu folii.
