The subject of the invention is a method of forming spatial thermal and acoustic insulation. The invention is applicable in particular to the industrial production of thermoplastic as well as thermosetting insulations with the use of a binder, where the binder in its matrix constitutes a layer hardening the spatial structure of the obtained insulation. In this case, the invention can be used for moldings (1 ') such as insulation boards for household appliances, e.g. for microwave ovens, ovens, refrigerators, and for moldings such as 3D insulation, e.g. for motor vehicles in the area of floors in passenger compartments, engine compartment bulkheads, exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, particulate filters. The method of forming spatial thermal insulations, which are also acoustic insulations, according to the present invention, is carried out with the use of a binder. The binder, being a composition containing at least one salt of silicic acid, constitutes a layer hardening the three-dimensional structure of the insulation obtained. The obtained insulation is a profile (1 ') of substantially thinner thickness, made of glass mat (13), which as a flat and flexible charge (1) is fed from the roller (2) to the punching machine (3) thanks to the conveyor (4) with a side mechanism lecturer (5). The punching machine (3) preforms it circumferentially along the edge, then, as a flat block (1 '), the charge (1) is guided by the conveyor to the binder application module (7). The binder is fed as a hydrated hardener (12) by spraying from at least one nozzle (8), at least on one side, onto a flat shaped piece (1 '), and then after it is jointly introduced into a press (9) that exerts pressure on it and is heated to a minimum ° C, the water is evaporated from the binder and the shaped piece (1 ') is spatially formed into a compact. The water vapor is led outside the chamber (10) of the press (9) through the exhaust channels (11). The crystallized hardener (12) connects with the glass mat (13) through surface fusion, creating a surface layer that binds the glass fibers permanently thanks to the formation of silicate bonds in order to fix the spatial shape resulting from the matching of the matrix (14) and the die (15) of the press (9) ) being the stamp (15 ') of the press (9). The finished compact is unloaded after opening the press (9). Before the water is evaporated and before the molding is obtained, a vacuum is created inside the chamber (10) of the press (9) containing the shaped piece (1 ') covered with binder by means of a vacuum pump (16), and then the excess of still uncured hydrated hardener (12) is removed from the inside. For this purpose, an expansion vessel (17) is used which is connected to the outlet channels (11) through a vacuum valve (18). The outlet channels (11) are placed in the press (9) on the opposite side to the surface layer of the binder applied to the glass mat (13), so that during the production and maintenance of the negative pressure, the binder penetrates into the glass mat (13), thinning out degressively. The suction begins after the chamber (10) of the press (9) is tight after the vacuum valve (18) is opened, while after stabilizing the vacuum value, the molding continues to heat up until the hardener (12) is fully crystallized in the glass mat (13), which crystallizes truncated cones with a smaller truncated base having the diameter of the outlet channel opening (11) into which the binder forming the cone was sucked. Then the vacuum valve (18) is closed and the drain valve (19) of the press (9) is opened to equalize the pressure with the atmospheric pressure. For the proper implementation of the invention, the binder formulation also contains water in an amount by weight of 55% to 65% and a filler which is refined montmorillonite making up to 100% with a silicic acid salt content of 35% to 25% by weight, respectively.
