Abstract
The application concerns surface modification and implants used in orthopedics, dentistry and cardiosurgery modified by this method. The method of surface modification shown in the figure uses an ultrasonic homogenizer and a suspension of bioactive particles in a liquid. The surface treatment of metal implants is beneficial in terms of increasing the integration of the implant with the surrounding tissue, correct osseointegration and mineralization, reducing corrosion, increasing biocompatibility and reducing the risk of bacterial inflammation. For example, calcium phosphate-modified surface implants do not present problems with the immune system response and show an increase in osseointegration in contrast to untreated implants made of metals or polymers.
