Abstract

A one-stage reaction of alkylene carbonate with an aqueous solution of 50% to 80% soluble starch is carried out with a proportion of 0.1% by mass. up to 3.0 mass% potassium carbonate in relation to the mass of the mixture at 120 ° C to 180 ° C until the presence of alkylene carbonate disappears. The mixture of multifunctional polyetherols obtained with the subject method can be used for the production of polyurethanes, especially rigid, biodegradable polyurethane foams.
