Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for producing bacteriostatic hygiene products, especially two-layer paper towels, which involves gluing with a water-borne synthetic adhesive in the form of a polyvinyl alcohol solution. Silver nanoparticles are added to the adhesive in the form of an aqueous dispersion of silver nanoparticles in the range from 3 to 25 nm, a pH in the range 5 - 7.4 and with a concentration of silver nanoparticles from 0.001 to 0.007g / dm3 in distilled or demineralized water, obtained by continuous mixing from 0.5 h to 1 h, at a mixing speed in the range from 200 to 900 rpm. The glue and water with silver nanoparticles are diluted in a proportion of 1 part glue and 3 parts water, at a mixing speed of 500 to 1000 rpm for about an hour at a temperature of 15 to 36 ° C. The adhesive prepared in this way is applied and spread on the paper using rolls preferably coated with Teflon.
