Abstract

The subject of the notification is the adsorbent and the method of obtaining it. The application also includes the use of an adsorbent for the recovery and evaluation of precious metal and mineral deposits with hydrophobic properties. The adsorbent is characterized by the fact that it consists of components: solid and liquid binder solution, whereby the solid component in the form of granules or mats made of polyethylene plastic with strong hydrophobic properties or polypropylene or polyethylene terephthalate PET or polyvinyl chloride or polyamide or nylon or rubber or silicone material, as a hydrophobic substance and material of magnetite or other metals, their alloys or compounds with highly ferromagnetic or NiFe2O3 or CuOF2O or MgO or Y3Fe5O12 or Cu2MnAl or Cu2MnlL or CrO2 properties or iron alloys with nickel, cobalt, aluminum or rare earth in a ratio of 25-35, preferably 30% by weight of plastic and 75-65, preferably 70% by weight of magnetite, while the liquid solution of the binder is a mixture of hydrocarbons: bitumen and diesel oil or kerosene or synthetic oil or EKO-C heating oil with similar viscosity properties, in ratio of 2.16 parts by weight of bitumen and 1 part by weight of diesel oil, after which the liquid solution of the binder is applied in water to the solid component in an amount of 3.5 - 4.5% by weight of the binder on the surface of the component.
