Silnik elektryczny (10) charakteryzuje się tym że rotor (5) ma postać pierścienia z centralnym otworem i jest osadzony na rolkach podporowych (1) umocowanych obrotowo w jarzmach (2), których jeden koniec jest umocowany obrotowo w obudowie (6) stojana (27) wokół rotora (5) tak, że zewnętrzna część rotora (5) stanowi bieżnię dla rolek podporowych (1), przy czym rdzenie (17) uzwojeń (4) i rotor (5) stanowią wymienne, niezależne części mechaniczne.
